Community Guidelines

Introduction

We're a community built on the belief that the richest parts of life happen outside the usual script. Together, we create and share surprising, interactive experiences that awaken curiosity, stretch comfort zones, and spark real human connection. We champion one another as we explore the unfamiliar supported by expert facilitators who make every step feel safe, immersive, and unforgettable.

To ensure this space remains welcoming, inclusive, and safe for all, we've created these community guidelines. Think of them as our shared compass grounded in mutual respect, emotional safety, and a deep appreciation for difference. These values guide our interactions and help us create a space where everyone can feel at home.

Our Core Values

These principles are the foundation of our community. They inform everything we do and every interaction we have:

  • Lead with Empathy and Respect – Treat every member with kindness and consideration. We all come from different backgrounds, identities, and lived experiences. Approach every conversation with curiosity, humility, and a willingness to understand.

  • Embrace Open and Honest Dialogue – This is a space for real, vulnerable conversations. Feel free to be honest and specific. Constructive feedback and thoughtful debate are welcome when shared with care. Your "no" matters just as much as your "yes" and helps us make sure you won't end up in something that feels too far outside your comfort zone.

  • Champion Inclusivity and Diversity – We actively welcome and celebrate diversity across race, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability, age, religion, and background. We aim to create a space where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued. Discrimination or exclusionary behavior of any kind will not be tolerated.

Our Guidelines in Action

To make sure our space remains safe and generative for everyone, we ask that you:

  • Communicate with Care – Speak from the "I", listen with openness, and assume good intent while also being accountable for impact. Personal attacks, harassment, or dismissive behavior have no place here.

  • Keep It Relevant and Grounded – This space is about forging your own path and meaningful connection. Share stories, reflections, and questions that are in service of growth for yourself and others. Stay clear and present, no alcohol/drugs during events.

  • Zero Tolerance for Hate or Discrimination – We do not tolerate racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, or any other form of hate speech or discrimination. This is a safe space for everyone.

  • Honor Each Other's Privacy – Respect what is shared within our community. Never share someone else's story, identity, or personal information without their explicit permission. Strengthen confidentiality of shared experiences.

  • Respect Boundaries (Including Your Own) – You are always invited, never obligated. If something doesn't feel right for you, say so. We value your boundaries, and we encourage you to name them. And if someone says “no” respect it, full stop. Respect physical boundaries (no touch without explicit consent).

How We Uphold These Guidelines

We're committed to keeping this space safe, supportive, and in integrity with our values.

  • Moderation – Our team may moderate posts and conversations to uphold these guidelines.

  • Reporting – If you see or experience something that violates these guidelines, please let us know. You can report it confidentially by emailing hello@uncommon.club.

  • Consequences – Depending on the situation, we may issue a gentle reminder, a formal warning, or remove someone from the community. We aim to act with transparency, fairness, and care.
